Though only minutes from central Darwin, beautiful Cullen Bay feels like a tranquil world away. For restaurants, Cullen Bay fully utilises its waterside setting.
Buzz Café, overlooking Cullen Bay Marina, features a bar carved from an enormous piece of volcanic rock and, reportedly, some of the best mango daiquiris to be found in Darwin. Other great Cullen Bay waterfront venues include Seafood on Cullen and La Beach Restaurant, both with ocean views, and the multi award winning, Yots.
For Asian restaurants, Darwin suburbs have some great choices. Try Happy Garden Beachfront at Rapid Creek, Loong Fong Seafood Restaurant at Nightcliff and Northlakes Chinese Restaurant at Marrara. And for some of the best Northern Territory steaks in Darwin try Bogarts Restaurant in Parap.
Palmerston is a relatively new area located 21 klms south of Darwin, Northern Territory, boasting a thriving and growing population, great sporting facilities, parks, thriving markets and restaurants. Palmerston enjoys dine in or take away venues.
The multiple award-winning Mindil Beach Markets have been recognised by the National Trust as an Australian icon. Providing over 56 food stalls, boasting a staggering menu range of over 1200 taste sensations, in conjunction with the host of craft stalls, live entertainment and the tranquil view over the harbour, the Mindil Beach Markets have helped establish Darwin, Australia, on the international tourist map.
Most Darwin pubs and clubs are situated in the city centre, however, the suburbs also provide plenty of locations to enjoy a pint and a meal and often live entertainment.
